The Tandır Bread Initiative, which began its work in Hatay Harbiye in March 2023, was established by women affected by the earthquake. Launched as a production effort for earthquake-affected communities in Hatay—one of the provinces severely impacted by the 6 February earthquakes—the initiative aims to empower women’s labor and support the urgent food needs in the region.
